Was Greed Affecting Barrett-Jackson Bidders Turning Into Ebay?

                    Was Greed Affecting Barrett-Jackson
Was Greed Was A Factor Not Paying Reserve Price?
The answer was yes, through out  the
week, people were getting cars with heavily
          documentation  for peanuts.However when
it came for most Corvettes,Shelby Mustangs,
and Camaro's people paid big money.
I was disappointed, and so was Barrett-
Jackson. Many times they stopped the auc-
tioneer, to explain the high points of the car.
The Salon Collection was generous to
have many  prized cars up for auction. But the
pubic was not interested.Clark Gable's All
Original 1955 Mercedes Gull Wing 300 SL,
was the first  car to have reserve on Saturday.
The  public only bid $1,900,000.00.The owner
was disgusted, how The bidders did not show
          appreciation.He settled from a person,who had
          negotiated the price  for $1,850,000.00.Many
Rolls Royce's from the  famous Salon Collection,
which all  had reserves, but the public, was only
going  to give as little as possible. Not millions,
as these cars  were worth. Most of the owners,
were upset, that  they accept the auction price.
They took off  their reserves. However two Rolls
Royce owners, with reserves were not met,and
did not  accept the public's auction price.
Was there enough money, for these cars to be
sold  as a reserve. The answer is yes. This is a fact.
How  do I know? Take Rick Champagne, the
winner  of the #1 Batmobile. His friend and Rick,
had  flipped a coin,as to who would buy this car.
This means his friend, had at least $4,200.000.00,
to buy cars, from the Salon Collection. He could
have even  paid for the X-car  concept car called
the  Chyrsler Diablo.The X-car concept car that
only sold  for $1,250,000.00.The X-Car Packard
Panther a super charged dream car, only sold for
for $825,000.00.The famous Ford X-car the cool
Green Hornet Shelby Mustang made in 1968,that
was used twice by Ford, sold for only $1,800,000.
This was  a double proto-type used by Shelby
           for experimental platform,and innovation.They
thought this car was destroyed. What a lack of
           graditude from the public.
                The Salon Collection 1947 Talbot-Lago had a
          a  reserve on it,but would not public,go for it?No.
The  owner had to accept the auction price of
          $2,035,000.00
                A 1934 Duesenberg with a reserve,was only
offered  by the bidders $1,430,000.00. The owner
frustrated took off the reserve and accepted the bid.
                A famous 1929 Isotta Franschi with reserve,was
only  offered by the public $1,320,000.00.The owner
again  frustrated, took off the reserve, and accepted
          the  bid.
A beautiful reserved 1949 Delahaye  was only
offered  by the bidders $1,210.000.00.Again the
owner  frustrated, took off the reserve, and accepted
          the bid.
                A 1929 Duesenberg reserve was not met.Should I
           go on?
Barrett-Jackson is not Ebay. But all you bidders,
this is a prized selection of cars. Many collectors
out  the goodness of their heart auction these gems
off, so you can enjoy them. How do you thank them,
by  treating them as you are bidding for car models, on
Ebay.I will not be surprized,if other collectors,do not
bring  their nice collections to Barrett- Jackson in 2014.
Barrett-Jackson did make a record, in selfish bidders,
not paying for reserves in prized cars!
If you the bidder get tired of your X-car  concept car,
then contact Mr.Bortz of The Bortz Collection,at this
website:www.bortzcollection.com He has more old X-cars
concept cars.then anyone in the USA.He even restored the
famous X-car concept Biscayne for General Motors. This
man had to weld the car back together, and completely, make
the whole frame, and many other parts. If you have the double
          prototype,Shelby Mustang X-car Green Hornet,or X-car
the Chrysler  Diablo,or X-car Packard Pather, then look him
          up.This man appreciates,these famous prototype X-cars.
                Before the mid eighties,the  proto-type  cars,were called
experimental cars,in which they got X-cars from.Ideal cars is
only mentioned in,Chrysler  Corporate Letters built not GM.
or Ford.General Motors as far back as 1938 with Y-Job had
called them experimental. Also Ford made  more experimental
cars starting with X . The Corporate Letters prove this fact.
They used the word experimental, from late thirties to seventies.
There was library book copyrighted 1971 called:X-Cars.It is a
wonderful book. It  was the auto makers who changed the name
to concept  cars in the mid eighties.
X-Cars Corporate Proof Before Concept Cars, can be found
          at:http://customshowcarattractions.blogspot.com/
Is there really a difference between a X-car,and a concept car?
X-Cars are not built for the public. However, the only acception was
the X-car called the Chrysler Turbine. There were fifty cars made
for the public to try.One was used in "The Lively Set."
So what was a X-car used for?Take the X-car called the Lincoln
Futura. The air vents on the back of the front doors showed up on the
1956 Lincoln.After used in a movie painted red,it was chosen by
George Barris to be the famous Batmobile, but Ford would not let him
have this X-Car.Ford destroyed the X-Car,and had a identical built.
Since George Barris garage many cars used in the movies,Ford had
sold  the Lincoln Futura for $1.00.This practice destroying X-Cars
was done by all automotive companies. The other reason,is they did
want their automotive secrets, get out,so they destroyed there X-Cars.
Concept cars, were built for the public, but X-Cars were not to be.
You see in Motor Trend  cars like the  Ford Probe,Plymouth Prowler,
Dodge Viper, and so many more, these were built concept cars to be
built and sold to dealers for the public to buy. They were used as regular
transportation .However,proto-type cars are not to be built for the public.
They are testing cars,of things that could be used on public cars. They are
to be destroyed. It is a shame.Just think of the money they could of made.
If many of you knew this, before you went to Barrett-Jackson,you might
have had a different attitude to the present to buy.

Was Greed Affecting Barrett-Jackson Turning Into Ebay?
Honestly, people do you think you can buy a 1949 DelahayeDouble Proto-type Shelby Mustang code name:Green Hornet. Also two mint Deusenbergs or a 1919 Pierce Arrow for just over a million dollars a piece? Get with the program. This is not Ebay,so quit treating it like such!

The Barrister Used In The Movie Ten With Bo Derek Was Ruined

The Barrister Used in The Movie Ten with Bo Derek Was Ruined
Kustom was ruined, that was used
in the movie 10, with Bo Derek.
George had this custom car called
the Barrister, with four pipes out of
both sides, that hooked side pipes,
was ruined. The chrome custom grill
along with the fender bumpers, are
white. They gave the idea, that the body
longer. There was nothing wrong with
way the car was built in the movie. For
some reason people got in their head, they
can built customs, better than what used to
come out of Barris shop. Barris Kustom cars,
are becoming endangered, of becoming extinct.
